I'mscare

Art installation

Sewing 20 Latex skins on two one-metre square panels

University Fine Arts in Paris, 2003.

i am Scare is an art installation created at the Sorbonne University of fine Arts as part of a semester course on Art and Time during my Bachelor's degree.

The fake skins, made from latex, are here to illustrate the fake scars that certain people have gone through and damaged over time. Time as damage, art as restitution, reconstitution.

More than a place to live, the tent here is a meeting place between the spectator and the work presented.

This tent is inspired by the objects created during the Holocaust. As a child of the 3rd German generation, the history of the repercussion of memory is one of the primordial themes that is constantly repeated in my installations, paintings and sewing.
